Art

We have looked at the abstract work of Alma Thomas who used colour to paint whilst thinking of 'Well-being'. We then recreated our own ideas using feelings and music as the inspiration.

ICT

We are using Purple Mash to code

English

The poet Matt Abbott came to St Theresa's! We all engaged in a poetry workshop learning how to construct poems from scratch!

PE

Practising our gymnastic skills!

Maths

In Maths we have worked on Place Value helping us to understand Addition and Subtraction. We have used lots of tools to help us understand our maths including number lines, place value grids with counters and base 10.

RE

In the Autumn Term we have looked at The Christian Family and Mary, Our Mother. The children have been leading Collective Worship in class and in our magic garden. They are now preparing for Advent. The children understand how scripture influences the choices they make in order to impact positively. We have also looked at Hinduism this term with a wonderful visit to Leeds Hindu Mandir taking part in morning worship.

Science 

In Science we have been learning about Animals Including Humans. Look at our wonderful group work, we enjoyed learning about the skeletal system, muscles and how the body operates. We also went on an exciting trip to Temple Newsam to participate in seed collection for replanting.

We read to our friends in Nursery during ‘World Book Day!’
