Remote Learning Policy

Welcome to the Remote Learning Page.

This is where you can access information about Remote Learning in school.  Below is the full Remote Learning Policy Statement which details the school’s approach to this vital aspect of teaching and learning should your child be self-isolating or their class/year bubble be collapsed.

Parents/Carers should already be registered and logged on to Google Classrooms (and Class Dojo/Tapestry) as the main platforms for communication and remote learning.  If not please contact Mr Hutchinson or Mrs Ryan in school via email or by phoning the main switchboard.

The full Remote Learning Policy is here:

Remote Learning Policy October 2020

A condensed version of the above is here for parents/carers to have a slightly quicker look at the school’s policy and procedure:

Remote Learning Policy Parents Version   (Condensed version)

These policies will be enacted from the beginning of the week beginning 2 November 2020 until further notice.

If your child is absent because of COVID restrictions, either because they are self-isolating or because their bubble/class has been collapsed, then your child’s class teacher will be in touch with you via one of the school’s communication platforms like Dojo, Tapestry or Google Classrooms.  Please do all you can to support this learning at home in these difficult and unprecedented times.

It is accepted by the school that we will do all in our power to keep learning going in the Covid-19 Pandemic but parents/carers’ expectations on this must be realistic given the fact that teachers might be ill themselves, have families that they too are caring for and have to home educate and the fact that levels of anxiety in the profession are higher than at any time in living memory.  Please be assured that staff will continue to work hard for your child(ren).

We are all in this together and your continued patience and support is very much appreciated.

Mr Hutchinson
