URGENT: Parents of F2 and 2GW

Saturday, 19 June 2021

Please see the letter below regarding your child’s need to self-isolate following a positive case in one of the F2 classes and 2GW.  The children all mix freely and have no notion of social distancing so this directive has come straight from the the DfE and PHE.  Self-isolation is not an option and the letter explains the situation and how long you need your child to isolate.  Parents/carers do not need to self isolate (just the child) unless your child develops symptoms and tests positive (with a PCR test) in which case your whole family will need to isolate.  Siblings do not need to self isolate unless they develop symptoms.

Please see the letter below:

Thank you for help, cooperation and due diligence here.

Mr Hutchinson.

Mrs Ruane (F2JR) and Mrs Miller (F2LM)

We have all settled well into school life and have been very busy making friends!  We have been learning all about numbers, letters and sounds.

As part of our ‘Understanding The World’ area of learning, we went on a mini bus trip around our local area.  We ticked off the places we saw on our clip boards, it was lots of fun!

We had a great time on our Autumn walk  exploring and seeing what changes happen at this time of year.  We enjoyed looking at all the different colours and crunching in the crisp leaves! Afterwards, we had a yummy cup of hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, delicious!!

Our family and friends were very proud to see us performing The First Nativity.  We told the story of when Jesus was born and really gave the true meaning of Christmas to all.

We had lots of fun at our Christmas Party!

We have been learning about cold places.  We did activities with ice, pretend snow and even packed our bags with warm clothes and flew to the Arctic!

Our families and friends were invited to celebrate Chinese New Year with us.  We ate tasty Chinese food, made lanterns, dragons, danced to Chinese dragon dance music and even tried using chopsticks – they were quite tricky!

We have been working so hard that we got all our class stickers and had a treat!  We chose to make pizzas, they were very yummy!
