Welcome to the Admissions Page

Admission into Main School

If you are interested in applying for a place at St Theresa’s Catholic School then I would advise you to contact school and come and meet us!  We are very friendly and we will guide you through the admissions process.  Please ask for Mrs Clark who is the Business Manager who handles admission enquiries on behalf of the Governing Body.  The Board of Governors is the Admissions Authority at St Theresa’s and it is they who make decisions relating to all applications to the school.

There are three pages on this tab.  Each explains how you apply to come to our school:

This page explains fully how you apply to our school in the initial round of admissions for Reception for September 2019.  You will use this information if your child is 3-4 years old and will be 5 between September 2019 and August 2020.

This page explains fully how you go about applying for a place at St Theresa’s outside of the initial round of admissions.  This looks very complicated but isn’t really!  It is always best to contact school in these circumstances and talk to Mrs Clark and she will explain everything. There are usually two reasons for moving school; you have moved house or you are unhappy in your current school.  In both cases you must apply for an In-Year Common Preference Form and get this signed by your school’s Head Teacher.  We always advise that you speak to your current school before approaching us.

This page explains how you apply for a place in our community Nursery.  We do offer 30hour and fully flexible 15hr provision now including before and after school care (wrap-around care) for our Nursery aged children.  This page explains how this can be accessed and who to contact for advice.  If you want to know more please contact school and ask for Mrs Childerson.

Future Admissions Policy 2020 – 21: September 2020 admissions (Initial Round)

The Governing Body, through it’s Standards, Inclusion and Admissions Committee, will approve the Admissions Policy and Supplementary Information Form (SIF) for the initial round of 2020-2021 admissions in the Spring Term 2019.  The SIA Committee will meet and approve the Diocesan Model Policy amending it to fit perfectly with the requirements of St Theresa’s School. If you are looking for a place for your child in main school for September 2020 then this is the policy you need to adhere to.  If you have any queries then please contact school straight away.

This policy will appear on this website as soon as it has been approved by the Board of Governors. The process for Initial Admissions into School for September 2020 will begin in the Autumn of 2019.

Thank you for your interest in our school and good luck with your application; please do not hesitate to contact the school and ask for either Mrs Clark (Main School) or Mrs Childerson (Nursery) if you have any queries.  No matter how minor you imagine them to be, we will have heard them all before and we will be only too happy to help.

I appreciate that this looks like a complicated process!  The best thing to do is to contact school and let us talk you through it!

John Hutchinson,

Head; November 2018.
